Ahead of applications opening on 23 February – 24 March 2024 at noyo.org.uk, the National Open Youth Orchestra is inviting 11-25 year-old disabled and non-disabled musicians to find out more about its regional NOYO Ensembles in Bournemouth, Bristol, London, Birmingham and Cardiff.
Please register to come to Open Rehearsals in February and March 2024, in person or online.
This is a great opportunity for young people interested in developing their musical skills within a pioneering, inclusive orchestral environment where disabled and non-disabled musicians rehearse and perform together. There’s no need to read music or to have taken graded exams to apply for NOYO Ensembles.
Places are offered based on musical potential. Acoustic, electronic and accessible instruments are welcome.
NOYO Ensembles are run in partnership with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Bristol Beacon, Barbican Centre Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Bristol Beacon, Services For Education, MAC Makes Music, B:Music, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.
